This page will give you an overview of how we work and what life is like as a Software Engineer at Lingvano.
Our main product is a cross-platform App for iOS, Android and the web built in React Native.
We made the conscious decision to build both our frontend and backend in Typescript to be able to share as much knowledge as possible and work full-stack.
As a software engineer, you are at the forefront of product development and get to participate in a lot of product decisions.
We always approach new features and changes in a data-driven way to measure our success. That also means running a lot of A/B tests!
You won’t be having a lot of meetings. Instead, we like to do a lot of our project planning & coordination async (via Asana) and leave lots of room for focus/product work.
You will be writing lots of automated tests to ensure our apps keep running smoothly on all platforms.
We are also investing a lot into our CI/CD pipeline to ensure we can deploy many times a day seamlessly. Thanks to Maestro, we are even running E2E tests on mobile/native platforms.
We do a lot of pair programming as it helps us to transfer knowledge, tackle hard problems, and enable a great communication flow among the team.
